About me

My name is Adam Maisto. I graduated from Montgomery Blair High in June 2013. During the 2013-2014 academic school year I’m trying something different.

Being enthusiastic about life because this picture was taken in Colorado

On August 23rd, 2013, I moved out of my family’s timezone and my home city of Silver Spring, Maryland. On my own, as an 18-year-old who knows pretty much nothing about how the world actually works, I’m transplanting myself to Madison, Wisconsin. I knew that it would end up like this one way or another, but two things prompted my decision to do this:

  1. While college certainly isn’t in a different dimension – it is, by most definitions of the term, part of “the real world” – it exists in a vacuum. I would like to understand the world outside of this vacuum before I enter it.
  2. I’ve dreamed of living and studying in Madison all my life. Plans to do the latter of the two this coming year fell through, so I’m doing the first. I might end up getting to do both. (We’ll see.)

So, this is a blog about that.

By the way, about me: musician, writer, independent audio producer, angry feminist, semi-professional dork, coffee/tea enthusiast.
