I was here real late last night, but I drank a pot of coffee this morning, so come 1pm or so, I’ll be friskier than a ruttin’ buck!

Arguably the most stereotypically Wisconsin thing I’ve heard while I’ve been here. During mating season, bucks make notches on tree trunks with their antlers. This display is apparently called “rutting.” A coworker (originally from La Crosse, WI, which is by the Minnesota border) purposefully used this on me to see how I reacted
